Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, held a phone conversation with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) National Security Adviser, Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan. During the discussion, bilateral relations and recent developments in the region were extensively discussed.
The parties discussed diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalating regional tensions. This dialogue is considered an important step towards ensuring regional stability.
During the conversation, the Qatari official emphasized the importance of dialogue, as well as the implementation of the US-Iran memorandum of understanding. The necessity of ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz was also specifically noted.
The Doha side expressed its commitment to supporting ongoing efforts to achieve lasting peace and stability in the region.
