Turkish Investments in Uzbekistan: Towards New Peaks with $9 Billion and Over 2,100 Enterprises
Economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey is steadily strengthening, elevating the mutually beneficial relations between the two countries to a new level. Turkish investors are discovering vast opportunities in Uzbekistan's developing economy, particularly in priority sectors such as energy, manufacturing, and agriculture.
In the period from 2017 to 2025, the total volume of direct investments and credits attracted from Turkey to Uzbekistan's economy amounted to 9 billion dollars. Currently, 2,137 enterprises with Turkish capital are successfully operating in Uzbekistan. This figure represents 11.8 percent of the total number of enterprises with foreign investment in the country, clearly demonstrating the high interest of Turkish companies in the Uzbek market.
These investments are directed towards strategically important sectors such as energy, manufacturing, agriculture, and construction, contributing to the stable growth of Uzbekistan's economy. Specifically, investments worth 2.6 billion dollars are planned to be attracted in 2025. Furthermore, the implementation of large-scale projects, such as carpet and paint production with the participation of Turkish companies in the "Urgut" Free Economic Zone, serves as a practical example of this cooperation.
Uzbekistan consistently offers new and attractive investment opportunities for Turkish investors. Projects aimed at modernizing energy infrastructure, expanding industrial production, and processing agricultural products will create a strong foundation for further developing bilateral cooperation in the future.
