Cyclospora in the US affecting over 4,100 people: Taylor Farms complained to the White House and FDA

The company at the heart of the cyclospora epidemic in the US complained to the White House.

U.S. produce supplier Taylor Farms complained to White House and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) officials earlier this month about the government's inspection process, amid a cyclospora outbreak in the country.

As a result of this outbreak, 4,173 laboratory-confirmed and over 7,400 additional suspected cases have been reported to date.

Although an FDA investigation linked the outbreak to iceberg lettuce from Taylor Farms' operations in Central Mexico, health officials are continuing to seek other potential sources.
