China is becoming a global innovation hub for green and low-carbon technologies, which is crucial in the fight against climate change. The country achieved significant progress in this field during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025). During this period, innovations aimed at sustainable development are growing rapidly.
Specifically, according to data from the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), 53,000 invention patents were granted in green and low-carbon technologies in 2024. This figure is double that of 2020, demonstrating the effectiveness of China's efforts and investments in this area.
Chinese enterprises are actively contributing to green development not only domestically but also globally. They have submitted over 12,000 green technology solutions to the WIPO GREEN platform, which helps address environmental problems worldwide.
These innovative solutions create significant opportunities to combat climate change, promote sustainable economic growth, and make a substantial contribution to global green development. Green technologies play a crucial role in preserving a clean and healthy planet for future generations.
