Uzbekistan and Japan have signed an agreement to establish a joint university in Tashkent offering master's programs in artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and business management. This cooperation will strengthen educational ties between the two countries.
The new university will be based on the Japanese higher education model and will conduct classes in English. It plans to admit students starting from the 2028/2029 academic year.
For Japan, this initiative offers opportunities for educational cooperation, scientific research, and participation in the training of highly qualified specialists in Uzbekistan. This could serve as a potential source of personnel for Japanese companies in the future.
