New Opportunities for Japanese Investors in Uzbekistan: Investment Volume Grew by Nearly 18%
Uzbekistan's economy is demonstrating stable growth rates, opening new prospects for foreign investors, particularly Japanese investors. In January-June 2026, the volume of investments in fixed capital in the country reached 338.9 trillion soums (approximately 28.3 billion US dollars). This indicates a significant increase of 17.5 percent compared to the same period last year.
The main part of these investments was formed through foreign capital and unguaranteed foreign credits, totaling 235.6 trillion soums (19.7 billion US dollars). This indicates the growing confidence of international partners in Uzbekistan's economy.
For Japanese investors, Uzbekistan's manufacturing sector, infrastructure, and construction industries remain particularly attractive. These sectors have attracted the most investment, possessing great potential for capital injection and business development.
