NAVER, NVIDIA, and Brookfield announced a plan to expand Korea's national artificial intelligence infrastructure.

The three companies agreed to cooperate on significantly expanding Korea's sovereign artificial intelligence factory infrastructure. This initiative is an important step aimed at strengthening South Korea's global position in the field of artificial intelligence.

Proposed investments envisage increasing the capacity of the initial NVIDIA DSX AI factory to 200 megawatts. This expansion will significantly strengthen the country's artificial intelligence computing capabilities and create a foundation for future development.

This expansion is part of NAVER's long-term goal of achieving gigawatt-scale artificial intelligence infrastructure. The final system will be capable of serving Korean enterprises, industrial sectors, government, as well as global artificial intelligence cloud customers.

This important announcement was made during South Korean President Jae Myung Lee's visit to San Francisco for the artificial intelligence summit. The information is based on the NVIDIA Newsroom source.
