US technology stocks lost nearly $1.2 trillion due to rising artificial intelligence costs.

As artificial intelligence fundamentally transforms business models in the technology sector, the sell-off of US technology stocks extended to a fourth trading session. During this period, nearly $1.2 trillion was lost from the sector's market value.

This decline is primarily linked to a sharp increase in AI-focused expenditures, lower-than-expected earnings figures, and high capital expenditure plans announced by some major global companies.

As a result, Nvidia's shares significantly declined. Concurrently, Apple reclaimed its title as the world's most valuable company for the first time since April 2025.
