A giant step has been taken towards a sustainable future for renewable energy in Abu Dhabi: the world's largest 24/7 solar photovoltaic power plant and battery energy storage project has been launched in partnership with Masdar and Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC).

This innovative project combines a 5.2 GW solar panel capacity with a 19 GWh battery energy storage system, enabling it to deliver 1 GW of continuous clean energy 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This not only solves the intermittency problem of renewable energy but also guarantees a stable and reliable clean energy supply for the region.

The project will serve to significantly reduce carbon emissions, making a substantial contribution to the UAE's efforts in environmental protection. Furthermore, this massive project also stimulates economic development.

It will create over 10,000 new jobs, opening new opportunities for the local population and helping to train specialists in the energy sector. This initiative reaffirms the UAE's commitment to innovation and sustainability, and will serve as an example for the development of clean energy technologies globally.
